We are an evangelical church. This means the Bible, as God’s inspired word, is our first and final authority on all matters to which it speaks—the character and nature of God, the nature of reality, how humans ought to live, and more.

It also means the news that Jesus is Saviour and Lord is at the heart of everything we do. He lived a perfect life, was crucified in our place, was raised victorious over death, and now reigns over all—and one day will return to judge and restore all things.

He offers forgiveness of sins, relationship with God, and the hope of eternal life to all who turn to him and entrust their lives to him. It is only God, by his Holy Spirit, who can move us to this turning and trusting, and it is the Holy Spirit who shapes and equips us to live lives of increasing godliness and service, as we await Jesus’ return.

As an Anglican church, we hold to the the historic creeds of Christianity, and the doctrine expressed in The Thirty Nine Articles.

To find out more about what we believe, why not come along one Sunday?
